Colin Mallet, B.A. (Econ.)
Colin Mallet is a professional director with extensive commercial experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry. He has held senior executive positions in the pharmaceutical industry in UK, Switzerland, Sweden, S.E. Asia and Canada.
Mr. Mallet was President and CEO of Sandoz Canada Inc. for seven years and is a past Chair of the Canadian Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical companies. He has served as a Pharmaceutical Business Consultant to several major international pharmaceutical companies and has been a director of more than a dozen biotechnology companies at various stages of development. Mr. Mallet currently serves on the Boards of two biotechnology companies, MethylGene Inc., and MedGenesis Inc., and has been a member of the Audit Committee for both of these companies. He has previously served as a Board member for such companies as Axcan Pharma Inc., AnorMed Inc., Cardiome Pharma Corp. and YM Biosciences Inc. He holds a B.A. (Econ.) from Cambridge and is a graduate of both the Harvard Advanced Management Program and the Canadian ICD Corporate Governance College.
Mr. Mallet serves on the Compensation, Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee and the Audit Committee.
